The region of Kalamaki is situated 8m from the town and very close to Lagana. It is a cosmopolitan place, but quiet at the same time, as it is the protection zone for the marine turtle Caretta – caretta.
Kalamaki beach is the natural continuance of Laganas and one of the most crowded in the island.
