Kaimaktsalan

Kaimaktsalan is a mountainous area on the Greece-North Macedonia border, located on Mount Voras (Kaimaktsalan), one of the highest mountain ranges in the country.

The area is especially known for the Kaimaktsalan Ski Center, situated at high altitude and offering one of the longest ski seasons in Greece due to favorable climate conditions. At the summit stands the small chapel of Prophet Elias, which offers panoramic views.

Kaimaktsalan is a top destination for skiing, mountaineering, and nature activities, combining impressive alpine landscapes with historical significance from World War I.
