The seaside village of Lagkada is located in the northeastern part of the island, 18 km from the town. It is one of the most beautiful villages on the island. Built at the head of its namesake bay, it combines the refreshing sea breeze with lush greenery. The surrounding area is covered with olive trees.
Lagkada is one of the few villages that were built close to the sea during more recent historical times. The village architecture follows traditional design patterns.
