The historic village of Malakasi is built at an altitude of 850 meters and is located 50 km from Kalambaka. It is worth visiting as it lies in an area of pristine natural beauty. The village is surrounded by lush forests of firs and pines, while the abundant crystal-clear springs add their own color and sound to the stunning landscape.
Malakasi also has a rich history. During both the Ottoman period and later, under German occupation, the villagers resisted and the village experienced significant destruction.
Today, Malakasi belongs administratively to the Municipality of Malakasi. It is a peaceful village, ideal for a relaxing escape and a close connection with nature.
