The Krokilio,
beautiful village
with abundant water
rich
vegetation,
traditional
buildings and
monuments of art
(church
school, high
tap, etc.) and Folklore Collection. Located in the West
edge of Vardoussia at an altitude of 840m. and extends until
River Mornos (11chlm. away from the dam).
In the last century and until 1912, the area known as City
Krokyleiou consisting of 13 villages, and today is the seat of
City Vardoussia. The name probably comes from
many riverside settlements (yolk or Krokyles) that
continues until the old (ancient) town from which the
Palaiokatouno name.
