A hotel with flair to match that of Salzburg. In the same ownership for 3 generations (Raschhofer family), a friendly reception is assured, as is the guarantee of a comfortable stay at this green oasis in the heart of the town.

The hotel is made of 2 bulidings: The 'Villa Auersperg'(a residential villa built at the beginning of the last century) is located right next to the hotel. All of the 19 are one 3 floors, however without an elevaor - Porter Service is available at anytime. All facilities at the hotel, like the bar, sauna, steambath a.s.o. are available obvious for our guests in the villa.

The Auersperg Hotel is situated in Schallmoos, a venerable part of the town that already at the start of the 17th century, under the rule of archbishop Paris Lodron, was cultivated.

In the 18th century, after the final draining of the moor, a number of country estates and town villas were established in the area.

Once the rampart between the Mirabell gate and the Linz gate had been removed in 1866 there was nothing to stand in the way of the town expanding, A large part of the subsequent building in Schallmoos was undertaken by the building firm of the Ceconi family, who had emigrated to Salzburg from Friaul. In 1870, Valentin Ceconi, the founder of the business, built a villa for the duke of Thun, which he then acquired for his own family.

The original Auersperg hotel, opposite, was also built by Ceconi during this period.
