Batsí

Batsi is the most important tourist resort in Andros. It is 27km from Chora and 8km from Gavrio. It is a traditional coastal village, built in a cove. It is surrounded by green sceneries, while true ornament of the region is its magic beach.

It is an endless golden beach, one of the most crowded in the island. It is organized and has the possibility for water sports. If you are looking for more isolated beaches try the ones in the south part of the island. Coves of unique beauty are Stivari, Agios Kiprianos and Agia Marina. Among the sights distinguish the Monastery of Zoodohos Pigi, dated from the 14th century. It is the biggest monastery in the island with important ecclesiastic heirlooms.
