Vatopedi

Vatopedi is a historic monastic settlement on Mount Athos, in the Athonite peninsula of Chalkidiki. It is associated with the well-known Vatopedi Monastery, one of the most important and wealthy monasteries of Mount Athos.

The Vatopedi area is mainly accessible by sea and falls under the strict regulations of Mount Athos, with limited access only for male visitors holding a special permit.
