About Zakynthos
Zakynthos is a Greek island located in the Ionian Sea, off the western coast of Greece, south of Kefalonia. It is known for its dramatic coastline, turquoise waters, and rich natural environment.
The island is famous for Navagio (Shipwreck Beach), one of the most photographed beaches in the world, as well as the Blue Caves on its northern coast. Zakynthos is also an important nesting site for the endangered Caretta caretta sea turtle, especially in Laganas Bay.
Today, Zakynthos is a major tourist destination. It attracts visitors for its beaches, boat tours, nightlife, and natural beauty, combining lively resort areas with protected ecological zones.
